A LETTER FROM PRISON

1. Enemies are now to enjoy

Their wait have been long

They despise my noble nature

For it sends them into anger

But my nature in me cannot be effaced

2. My innocence cannot speak

It render me guilty

They scorched the case on me

I became visible in guilt

My words could defend me

It was tasteless of truth

My God! I was incarcerated

3. I foresaw conspiracy

It was all over their faces

Their insidious smiles

They were against my future

Such could be life

4. I cry for nothing hear

But for my only hope

My gift from God

My little prince

What could be of him with only feminine

5. Oh! My refulgent beauty

Shear not the tears that I shear

As my tears wash my face each morning

In this cage of no world

I cry loud in your name

We were hope together

But man put us asunder

You and He are my world

In my painful tears

I pray you

Till I return

Please keep my world
