A LETTER FROM PRISON
1. Enemies are now to enjoy
Their wait have been long
They despise my noble nature
For it sends them into anger
But my nature in me cannot be effaced
2. My innocence cannot speak
It render me guilty
They scorched the case on me
I became visible in guilt
My words could defend me
It was tasteless of truth
My God! I was incarcerated
3. I foresaw conspiracy
It was all over their faces
Their insidious smiles
They were against my future
Such could be life
4. I cry for nothing hear
But for my only hope
My gift from God
My little prince
What could be of him with only feminine
5. Oh! My refulgent beauty
Shear not the tears that I shear
As my tears wash my face each morning
In this cage of no world
I cry loud in your name
We were hope together
But man put us asunder
You and He are my world
In my painful tears
I pray you
Till I return
Please keep my world
