TO MY ENEMIES

Blessed be those who wishes me well
I have a question to those who wishes me ill
Have i stolen your dollar bill
Or envies stemmed from evil
Yes I’m fallible
And my wrongs are never my will
But why do you pursue me for a kill?
Why do you want to cause my family and I a split
Forgive me if I’ve caused any evil that makes you feel
In this world things changes, they are never still
Don't create a big deal
Allow me live life as the earth tilts
Life is short, so chill.

LIFE AFTER DEATH

Could there be life after death?
After man separates with death
Will there see you in new birth
Or may be, just how you went
Let's continue the search
\

When i learn Egyptology it was real
My cultural tradition also attested
But my religion which rules me, said believe it not
All i can do is to wish
Wish there was life after death
Where man again, could repent and turn a new leaf
And wait for the day that awaits
The day of reckoning

THE LEGACY OF SIR. ARTHUR GIUNNESS

He left the dark bitters
Some period ago centuries
And each drinker be him remembered
Very sweet bitter to drink
Moderate to buy
Exciting to taste
Happiness giving when sad
But a lot to cause when drunk
It could see you violent
When exceeding its limit
There are many likes
And it still remains the noble choice
So many employments to give
Just bitter liquor
Enjoyed by all
And the dark African enjoy it most
No wonder it's black
Call it the African beer
The great Sir Arthur Guinness made it.

MYAN LIVES BY PROBLEMS

Man lives by problems
When life itself becomes a teacher
Problems turn a subject
With much topics
And becomes man's oppressor
Man strives for escape
From dawn to dusk
It cycles till death
Without it, man could live short
Man lives by problems

THE HARMATTAN

To the end of the year becomes portent
Us chasing o'er the butter from shea
So conscious of lips and skin
Mindful of cracks and breaks
In search of cover clothes as of place of snow
Able covering all body skin
And all wait in patience
It sounds ominous

Come witness its treatment
All falling to its mercy
And drops of blood from noses
Coming to all so effusive
Cannot question its dominion
And so, all succumb to its despotic dominance

Farmers go smile
Time is due
See trees shedding
Making way for fresh green
There could be smiles after all

A DAY IN POVERTY

There is a certain feel of hell
If only religion teaches as the truth
When i felt it, i fell
It gives no way, not even a truce

It sees no mercy
It may cause to kill
A day cry will still not offer you any
But punish you till

It comes so swift
Few have felt it punishment
You can never guess its limit
It travels you till you cry in astonishment

It was just a day
And it feels like a year
It took away the fame
And i still leave in fear

A LOVE OF REGRET

I thought for days
With all regret
Though it was in a slow pace
I never forgot the rest
The cries and the aches
But I gave you the best
You gave me painful rays
And I gave you good memories you can never forget
You are out of my heart for infinite decades
A good decision I’ve made and the world will attest
All I gained was shames
And I have taken it as a test
I knew all your baits
But I couldn't escape the sex
People call me names
In your heart you lied I was the first
I know you're just a fake
And i hope you in mess.

WHY ALL THIS

We all eschew greed
But it's visible in us
They preach the words
And does the worse
They talked about peace years ago
But still remains our foe
They say we are all sinners
And is not easy to be pious
People call for charity
Some practice it as duty
We bow to money
Because it tastes like honey
So for a taste, we continue to strive
They say its life
There she comes
To sleep for funds
We lie to cheat
This should have been the least
After Church
We switch
After Mosque
We send people to the morgue
We have lawyers
They misconstrue the meaning of law and become lawless
We have judges
They take bribes and pervert justice
Wide open is heaven gate
But we bow our heads in shame
So my question is
Why all this?

ECSTACY TO CLIMAX

Close as air could not pass through
Our mouths sharing pleasantries
It continued without a word
A hand that could only arouse
A palm that could make you wonder
And the beauty that surpasses all beauties
Imprisoned my sense of morality
All I saw was a string of lace under my feet
With eye balls locked up to each other
On the bed I was being caressed
I entered into meanings
The word there was arouse
I looked for the meaning of moan and groan
Whiles I was looking for it, I gasped for air
When I found it I jumped into ecstasy
She asked me for more
I gave her the meaning
She said, read it faster
I did with all obedience
We didn’t bother to look for climax
Because it was already known

MY SELF

I am called name
I come from there
I am years old
I am color in complexion
I am not all that tall like tall
And not short like short
My best food is eat
My hobbies are what make me happy
I dislike what I hate
My parents are Mum and Dad
The name of my pet is it
I live at the place
The name of my best friend is he
My best color is glitter
My best game is play
And this is me

BE STRONG

Be strong
It came to pass
Therefore it’s past
In life, there are bad times
And tears fill your eyes
Don’t be downhearted
You can still get the assets
Night passes and sun rises
So be ready to be ahead
If you are able to swim through the sea
Why will you fear the stream?

THE PAINTER`S BRUSH

I always smile
With the sight of the painters brush
It gives a picture of the mind
Just as the mind goes
So the brush moves
Afterwards, we have an adorable painting
Long live the painters brush…

TOUCH ME

Touch me as you once did
Tell me you love me without words
Take me back to our nights of pleasure
Where no one can ever disturb

Our shared love has brightened
Growing stronger till passing time
With every moment that comes
Let us enjoy without barriers
And cast out our fears for love

Whisper to me that I want
Say to that I please
Promise to me that I did
Trust me as I want
For I am as harmless as the butterfly

Let’s hug as we did
And raise our heads to the sky
And make our promises of everlasting love

I AM A REALIST

Am a realist
I live not by dreams
I appreciate the world’s offering to me
And does to the as should be done
I decide not on conjecture
But so as it may be
I only love what I’ve seen
And not yet to be seen
I do not accept man’s submission of the world
But my own analysis, though it might end the same
My ways may be fragile
And it never breaks till the creator advises
I see the world as it is
Not how it should be
Am a realist
I mean a realist who believes in faith

THE PERPETUAL FLAME

Yet to go
Or yet to be cast into?
Not by will
But by actions and inactions
You can call it illusion
And do not forget not
With you and the flame, there could be a fusion

So blazing
And so flaming
It must consume
So who does it be?
And where do you stand
Just be ready
To escape the perpetual flame
Or be a perpetual member

ON MT. KILIMANJARO I STAND

The days of revelation can’t be far
On Mount Kilimanjaro I stand
After no far could be seen an Afadjato
I wished to see Africa, not to picture or imagine
Very glare of green
I escaped Everest, for Africa was my aim
Countless people I saw
And countless wars I witnessed
Through my eyes was a land in jeopardy
Peace was elusive to grasp
Hunger almost inescapable
The land was before without blemish
But now saturated with ill will and prejudice
I saw far, a place of minor peace
Conflict etched into the consciousness of the youth
Forever they remain violent and retaliate
From the mount, I saw people with Rheumy eyes
I saw with tears, Hutu and Tutsi of Rwandan genocide
Dafur and Somalia cracked my heart
And the whole Africa sickened my soul
The dictum of peace always ignored
I thought I could see ever green
But I saw ever greed
On Mt Kilimanjaro was the panorama of Africa
After bleed in my heart
I rhapsodize over Africa.

THE LIFE OF LUTHER PACKINGS

They all wished to be as he is
Feminine thinking as his miss
The old and young admiring his humility
Many said he was without iniquity

Had all that wealth could offer
Lived life much simpler
Giving to the Lord as supposed
Always seem repose

His hobby was children
Subject with them much of heaven
Yes he had flaws
Which could be the best of someone's all

This was the life of Luther Packings
A step to perfect and fashionably stylish
Though busy, minding his health
But all are yet to know why he hanged himself

PSALMS

There was no world
It came from a word
A voice from above
After man's naivety, he said there will be an end
And the voice was God

He is all powerful
So He made man fallible
And said you must be able
To see what is sinful
And be faithful

He gave man all
And said don't fall
To enable you be at heavens door
So be careful how you walk
For i will judge you from the law

After creating man in his own image
He provided a mate
And said you two must coordinate
And also worship in faith
So i say, this Man is Great

There was a revelation
And He said man should give it recognition
So not to see retrogression
Abide by my laws and there will be jubilation
And escape yourself from divine retribution

I will close not my mouth
But I’ll praise him from north to south
And will continue to bow
With my knees and head down
I praise him aloud

Please God listen to my supplication
Let my enemies see my elevation
In your children i want an inclusion
For my problems, i come to you for solution
And my house will always give an ovation

I have been acquainted with the truth
Abiding by it gave me a life of smooth
And also saved me from a life of rude
Almighty deserves much exaltation which i should
So to all, seek refuge from God and save yourselves from doom

There be a Man
Who created everything under the sun?
And brought to the world sons
He asked of us charity and alms
Not to concentrate on worldly things and cars

I asked for celebrity and he added nobility
I sought for forgiveness, and he added liberty
My fulfilling life came from the almighty
After respect, he conferred dignity
Oh! yee people, He is a God of serendipity

Come oh yee world, let’s give thanks
To the God who filled our accounts in the banks
Praise Him and you'll never see setbacks
Exalt him with all the drums
And don't forget the claps

Be merciful on me
For your blessings i receive
For your holy book i will submerge myself in
Before you i will always come clean
For with you i know I’m free

From morning to evening I’ll pray
And call your name each day
I'll proclaim to your people your grace
For out of it i was saved
And your name I’ll proclaim

There were days of bitterness
Upon all my services
There was no fairness
In his time i received blessings
And it came to me in abundance

Oh! yee people of disbelievers
Come to him who delivers
And fall into his flavors
Come and receive happiness
And also save yourself as sinners

To those who starve in the month of fast
Believe in your hearts
That He God will act
And give you in abundance for it to last
For His words are the truth and facts

Believe not these gods
For they shall be punish with rods
Listen to them not, for they are satanic lords
And through them you shall be lost
For the Almighty has an open arm for all

They are cunning
So keep on running
For souls they are starving
Come to Him who dislikes lying
For with Him, your enemies will see you shining

Praise unto Him who created
Peace be unto His prophet
The devil came with a hatchet
To destroy and kill as expected
But with the Lord we are all protected

He is a Lord of no anger
Who feeds us till supper
Thanks to Him the Father
Like a shepherded who looks after
Blessed be your name Allah.

BEHIND THE SCENES OF POLITICS

Believe not all, for it may not be real
It may be for your sympathy
And that is how to make you feel
To shift you from reality

There is more to mere visibility
Praise them not for their intention yet not seen
For it might be impossibility
So resist been shift in

There is no place like hear
As he says in secret
He wants to be there for years
There must be a reason

They drink in laughter
In their friends, they make their bad intention known
Living you to hunger
But in public, it's never shown

He is made leader
Gives out promises
Gives his family future
And to the people, render apologies

Before him is a smile
Behind him is an intention
After a while
There will be corruption

Hoping to achieve wealth faster
They create a decoy of hope in the people
To make their life more sweet after
Living their people to struggle

We see them up and doing
As if for our safe sake
Their agenda they keep pursuing
And we labor to wait

It becomes a norm
He who comes goes ahead
To get more
And we are left dead

They come in two faces
One cannot be seen
It has been with us for ages
And we are still blind behind the scene

WHEN THE WORLD SAYS YES

Wait i wait
To see peace
To shake hands
And tell him you are needed

Mr. Peace why do you take a long time
A long time to be visible
Amongst my brothers and sisters
-They always push me away
-When i try to intervene

Oh! The world
Give an open arm
Smile to it
And embrace him
For with him, we are at peace

It hurts to see them dyeing
When their time is not due
Don't tell me their time is due as it is due
For without your destructive weapons
There won't be undue

I still wait for the day
It can be when am gone
Or as i wait
To see peace
As the world says yes.

THEY SAY- I SAY

They say it's nice
I say it's fine
They say it's attractive
I say it could look repulsive
They say it's hard to get
I say still go for it
They say it's the sweetest
I say go fearless
They say you could go sinful
I say just be prayerful
They say it could destroy
I say we have to enjoy
They say it goes in sizes
I say it comes with prices
They say men like it
I say it's worth it
They say you could make babies
I say that gives a certificate
They say there could be AIDS
I say just play it safe.

THE UNFORGOTEN ROOTS

Gong! Gong! They beat
It signifies the urgency
Out all they meet
In their ever beauty kente cloths
Nana speaks
Okyeame confirms
I really miss

Night time was joyous
We converge at the village square
Where stories, fables and legends were listened
I’m always present to be part
To whirl and dance
To admire our culture and ladies
Where most marriages were born

It’s time to festival
Houses and compounds cleaned
Shrines to be cleansed
And the clay to beautify our walls
The village is suddenly metamorphosed

Men dressed in ahenema
Showing their wealth in their beautiful Kente cloths
The tall elegant Fontonfrom
And the melodies from traditional singers
All of it I miss

To all
Wherever thy find oneself
You must try to forget not your roots
Remember, it is these roots you are from
And will forever remain

SILENT HOUR

Sweet hours of past memories
Under cool breeze from a gigantic tree
I talk without words
I reason without reasons
But my conclusion comes with applauds

A time to remember the intimacy
I know you’ve been gone now
But there are memories that go unforgotten
Memories of hugs and smiles
Our free night echoes of love
I’ll never forget

Each day I take an hour
An hour of silence and solitude
To console my mind with the things we shared
The future we planned
And the funny moments of laughter

My life has changed
You are gone but still in me
Your love nurtured me on love
Tell me how to erase
The beautiful times we shared

After four years of trust
It was for once
I’m still locked in this covenant
I have been a prisoner of it
My heart cannot cross boundaries
It cannot love
It yearns for you

In this silence, I say
If the night has the power to attest
It will tell you
I sleep to dream about the great time we had
To you, my love
I say, from my heart
You’ll always have a room

FROM THE TSUNAMI WATERS

From this land
From these waters
In here, I hoped to make life luxurious
I hoped in prayers
So I voyaged here
An arduous struggle indeed

My adorable
My sweet fought for love
For thy sake runs my sweat
For thy comfort begins my struggle
And thy sorrows sake I stress
In this time of pain
Please hold on tight
A mistaken choice I have made
But I’m just a fallible being

I alone
In an unknown people but known work
I periled through the thorns
I left house to create a home
My every might was to create your smile
For all these years
Your love I yearn

Each day
I think home
I think you
I wish to be back
After escaping these waters
I will not be an alien
But a citizen of your lovely arms

I see them around me
Ready to be buried
How did I survive it?
By divine save
Oh! My love
My rest would not have been peaceful
Because it had just began
Thus, enjoying your love

Am a mere mortal
But in these waters
I couldn’t be mortalized
I reject saying I’m immortal
But this couldn’t be our time
So I survived for you
You alone my love

Love you
A cliché it is
But the heart said it
My Angelic being
Hold on tight
For if you blow it out
My heart cannot take it
I cry you
Please wait my return

HEAVEN IS WHERE I SEEK

Heaven is where I seek
To the almighty, I try as much to please
I have recanted my former belief
No salvation comes from man and trees
They are just to deceive
The creator is the only one I can lean
And man is the only one who can mislead
The word of God I read
To put hope in me
Joy and happiness I release

IN THE NIGHT

In this dark time
Called night
Where only owls could be heard
Man could be dead
Or taken hostage by sleep
Only insects chatter
Stars showing their beauty
And the breeze so cool
With leaves dancing to the tune of the wind
And loneliness fills my room
With nothing but only pillows to be cuddled
I fight for your presence
Because I cannot bear your absence

MY INSPIRATION AS A POET

My aim is not a poet
Nor do I seek a laureate
My words sometimes erupt from anger
And up in poems of different genre
I focus on the darker side of real life
I always try to reflect the deep emotions of mankind
To some people it may not be their kind
I write from my heart
And it goes with my might
I write from what life teaches me
And also what it means
I write from experience
This makes my poems ingenious
Sometimes I write from pain
And can go profane
I take away prejudice
And implore justice
I give my own appreciation of issues
But that may not be my attitude
My love poems are mostly personal
This makes them original
My thinking may be odd
But that is not to all
The world will call it poetry
But I will call it mere philosophy
When I speak the words
I’m never heard or understood
But when I write them
I’m heard…

THE TALKING IMAGE

I looked inside the mirror
I see me
Tell me my fears
Where are my peers
They are far and I am behind
But our efforts have been the same of a kind
Did you say is not my time?
Not even a dime
I am tired of this solitude
Did you say it’s my attitude?
Tell me how to turn a new page
For advice, sometimes talk to you image…

THE AFRICAN LEADEER

The land that can boast of premier civility
The land where the mix of cultures creates beauty
A place full of natures giving pleasure
A place perfect of Solomonic leadership
The place where leaders are placed next to God
They emerge like Achilles ready to fight for their country
And latter turn into wild beast ready to devour their country
They are decorated with degrees and honors
Some are garnished with colors of military appreciation
And out silence and trust of the people they strike
They tar our roads with the hope of the people’s blood
And take away the dignity of the African woman
Selling the riches of their country to their superior imperialists
Giving hopelessness to the hope
And offering trauma to the strong
They latter end up with ethnic extinction
They call themselves princes of peace
But I call them massacres of peace
Some wish death for them
But I wish a life of regret for them,
They turn our civility into slavery
Turning our investors into critics
After coming in peace
They live us in pieces…

THE MOMENT THAT NEVER COMMETH

The moment that never came
I always look for it in pain
It’s almost a decade
And it seems to be getting farther

My expectations were very close
I attached so much merit to it
But it still eluded me the nearness of it
The thought of it I could not relegate
I have been a prisoner of my own dreams

I trust and wait patiently
May be faith will land me in my expectation
For this will crown the very achievement of my life
And add more weight to my reputation

I have never been controlled by my dreams
But such a woman deserves to be loved
Such a marriage deserves to be emulated
A marriage where care and faithfulness emanates
But this moment never commeth

TO ME

TO ME
To me good deeds are norms but bad deeds should be measured
To me old things were the best but were not at their best
To me goodness is an act and wickedness is an art
To me God instituted leadership and man instituted slavery
To me sex should be out of desire not love
To me the greatest angels God ever created on earth are Mothers
To me the world is just how it is, not how it should be
To me is not enough to help the feeble up but help him afterwards
To me I don’t care how he got the money but how it was spent
To me money is everything and at a point in time can buy life
To me the greatest enemy in the world is poverty
To me there is no use in drinking alcohol without getting tipsy
To me man should have tasted hell before coming to earth
To me to love someone you have never met is only an illusion
To me becoming rich is not the point but enough is the point
To me one should regret for speaking not for keeping silence
To me the beauty of Africa includes our wars
To me men become conscious when they are in love
To me expression of love should be done in silence followed by speech
To me apologies are basis for future offenses
To me I may sound very cliché or odd but
To me these are my thoughts; they may be what they are not supposed to be.

MOTHER

Stanza 1

Mother your love I embrace
You deserve much love and praise
For the nine wars I say thanks for the saves
To feed me you always toiled for days
Why shouldn’t I remember you in my prayers?
Sorry for your hustle and pains
For all didn’t happen in vain
But brought much gains

Stanza 2

After God, you I worship
For my sake, you went through the hardship
You gave me hope and future thank you her lordship
To you I bow
For making me proud
You made me a success, never will you be sad
I will take you out of the darkness of the past
No more tears from your beautiful eyes
I promise to never get you hurt
Because of me, you were always in the church
Your time has come to rest
And will always remain the best

ENDLESS BLISS

Truly, i could never surmised

In this gloaming time it starts

And strongly pervading

Without timorous feels

Purest love to care

Come my dearest one

Let your eyes twinkle on me

Mine travels you moan

Yours travels me groan

To us we owe

Our souls together pleases our hearts

Only our love stands palpable

In any fury, I’ll soothe

Let’s this be a congenial law

Enjoying the forever bliss.

I BECAME A KING WHEN I DIED

I BECAME A KING WHEN I DIED

I departed out of sorrows

A sweet taste of life

Call it illusion

Oh I miss my tattered robe

It was always on me

Not as pleasant of the catholic priests

But as old as a century tweed

They left me to my piteous fate

And I couldn’t keep the pace

They go wailing

They quest my demise

I care not to their pretense

Call them felons

My obituary could not escape the dailies

It was glaring to all readers

I wish I could eat and drink in my dead

But that is how affluent my people are.

In my new house i called it castle

But they called it casket

My adornment was synonymous to a knight

In my casket was precious gold

That could save a hundred poor folks

I was privileged to bury with

For once

The poor soulless-body lived like a king

LIFE AS A BACHELOR

LIFE AS A BACHELOR

Life is good

In a state of a bachelor

Yet again cool

So much pleasure

Experiences to be understood

That no one can answer

It says learn if you could

Less thinking more laughter

No wife but soon

So you work harder.

IN SEARCH OF THE BEST WOMAN

IN SEARCH OF THE BEST WOMAN

I was once alone

And still in my old

It's been a long search

Just for the best

Please God confer on me

A woman who will always be in my need

A woman who will be there to console

And please my soul

A woman who will not hide and go for my kind

But be faithful to me till our time

A woman who will escape the kind of Jezebel

And say to greed a farewell

A woman to reciprocate my love and respect

A woman who will not put on me, debt

Very gorgeous and beautiful

Who is ready to forgive and merciful

Not extravagant but simple

Who is not after riches

But it's blessings

A woman I’ll adore

And in advice, give me more

A woman who will be a partner for all days

Till we end up in our graves.

FATHER

FATHER

Though he is just a father

For my sake he fights

just to see me rise

I owe him much

And i always thank him on his birthday of March

I always wake up to see father gone

As early as dawn

All just to see me through

They say fathers are great and i believe it too

He really deserves to be called Dad

For he is the best father a little boy has ever had

This is the time to say kudos

And again say thank you

Just as you cared

So you will be cared

You are the best

And i promise you a happy rest

SENSUAL PLEASURE

SENSUAL PLEASURE

So sweet as i thought

Please don't spare me

Do to me as you please

As the tonque slips from the lips to

navel

So can it travel further

Redeem me with strokes of ever

wanting pleasure

Submerge me into the sweet waters of

imperial ecstasy

And leave into my mind eternal

fantasies

Spare me not your palm of great

warmth

Make them busy on me

It can travel every length

And stop anywhere

Between my breasts you are free

On it could see me gasp for air

And allow my sleek body tremble for

more

Crush my ass with your palm

And move over it with patience and

care

I am free for changes and positions

Therefore be free to explore

And make me acknowledge you are a

man

For I’m all yours.

SINS YET TO BE COMMITTED

SINCE YET TO BE COMMITTED

Oh! Since of today

Committed in different ways

We have all gone astray

And i will continue to say

I know we are yet to pay

But a trip to heaven may be in vain

I see a future of dolorous cries

people will proclaim themselves God

And sin will taste sweetest

Some will contest with the almighty

And will latter plead for mercy

Women will be worshiped

Not as motherhood

But as we may want from them

And it will be considered as no sin

They will create the basis for sins to be committed

And i tell you, they will enjoy it most

The killing and wars will be a norm

Beeing scared of killing won't be at all

Our blood will be a symbol of vengeance

After it we will rejoice in arrogance

Sex will loose it's dignity

Because people will have it at their door step

It won't be considered sin no more

How foolish it will be

It will extend to every hole of the body

And will make the body the temple of sins

I cry for the poor

Because charity will go into extinction

The world will turn blind to agonies

And deaf to pleas

There will be total wailing

Because the love will go into the drain

People will not have wives

But rather change wives

Marriage will not be an institution

But rather confusion

And i tell you this

Holy books will be interpreted to suite it

Holy place will loose it holiness

Money will rule it

They will suck money from people's sweat

And make holy places the most sinful place to be

And Almighty will throw the door of mercy widely closed

And i tell you, we will cry loud

On our street there will nudity

What was done in secret will extend to the street

The youth will be the most victims

The devil will sleep with us

And he will be preferred to God

Woo unto Dee!!!

Politicians will be worshiped

They will set sinful principles

They will stir conflicts

And also cause us to sin in this

So to the world, i say

There is hell's wide gaping mouth open

And you will have nothing to stand upon

The day is tomorrow

Let's have a second thought

Because no matter what

There are sins yet to be committed

And it will make us good candidates to the blazing fire

DEJAVU

DEJAVU

She finally gave a voice

A voice that could be remembered for years

After such a long time

She mentioned my name

And asked in amazement

Are you the one?

I knew she could feel it

A total change of voice

A voice full of pains and sorrows

And said I’m sorry okay...

I trembled but responded

And said I miss you

She took me back to our early days

Full of joy and very promising

I thought such days will never come

But DITA you proved me wrong

In my life I implore

In my heart I ask

Never leave my life

The day you leave

I s the day it will end

I thank God for your voice again

I have felt it again

This is full of happiness and pleasure

RENAISSANCE

RENAISSANCE

In the early hours of the day

Where reflections took me astray

It launched me in a solemn moment

To enable me think about my deeds

My mind became full like a forest full of trees

I realized I had a lot to change

As I saw the sun changed positions

So did I feel a change of life?

From the moments of sweets to the moments of bleak

A life filled with trickery and deceit

To some people I was just a leech

The integrity I fought for, eluded me

And the honesty I sought for became an illusion

Courage and repentance became my party

Had work and perseverance became my allies

A new being was created

For I have given birth to new life

MAKE IT HAPPEN

MAKE IT HAPPEN

Stanza 1

Why, are we not bold?

To cut the sod for success

People have made it on their own`

And now have excess

We all desire to have a nice home

Nothing can stop us if we all make the efforts

We may toil for days

We may labor for decades

We may commence on a low pace

But I tell you, you will surely make it

For we can all make it

Make it happen

Stanza 2

We see them in nice clothes

We see them in luxury and comfort

We perceive they have no problem

They have gone through all the troubles

They have voyaged through the thorns

Perseverance was sometimes the norm

They managed to overcome all the obstacles

They never quit when they face predicaments

Let’s continue to fight and never to retire

But I tell you, you will surely make it

For we can all make it

Make it happen

Stanza 3

Today my mind is made up

All my woes are at my back

I want to stand tall

I want to stand high

It’s my turn, I will end it all

They have made it in life

Why not me

For failure, I will never pay heed

For all my wounds I will heal

I will labor for my own meal

And not to cheat and steal

I know it will be a difficult task

But I tell you, you will surely make it

For we can all make it

Make it happen

GHANA

GHANA

The land that was once invaded

The people who were once raid

The land that was once slaved

Has finally been saved

All the lost wealth we have regained

What a flourishing country we have attained

All the respect and dignity we will retain

Ghana, now an envy of many states

And development continue to accelerate

Our people continue to jubilate

Foreigners like the country because, our people are considerate

Our cocoa continue to dominate

Our goods and minerals continue to receive the praise

Our leaders no more dictate

But now they motivate

Peace and harmony they always propagate

We pray to God to help us concentrate

This nation has become great

To our forefathers we dedicate

DEATH

DEATH

I call myself death

I laugh when I hear birth

For it will one day quench my thirst?

They call me Mr. wicked, I pretend as if I am deaf

I only came to cause sorrows and mess

Gradually I shall seize your breath

And stop you from creating that wealth

Killing and causing pain, that’s what I’m worth

And will forever remain the conqueror of the Earth

CRIES FROM THE SAVANNAH

CRIES FROM THE SAVANNAH

Far from reach

Far from oxford street

Agonies are unheard

Pains are not felt

Out of the Savannah I come to tell you this

To all i need some ears

To listen to the songs of the Savannah

In here every blessing seem to be a curse

I look at my people

I look at the land

And I see a great world

But within them they are sorry

Sorry for landing on the Savannah

He looks at the land

Up he looks

And smiles to the skies

With his tools he tries to tilt

But the land won't allow him

He looks up to the skies to beg for mercy

And the land speaks with a dry noise of a hole

So he left in anger to hunger

They hear about the cities

They hear the great things going on

Where most great men emerge

They look round the Savannah

They cry loud

The boys are eager to be great

All they need is a promising environment

They try hard and fall hard

They read much, but seem to know least

Because the foundation was weak

They see education as elusive to grasp

So they cry loud

Mysterious death are seen

Strange things at night

They say witchcraft is real

They play the threatening game

The next morning we gather to mourn and burry

It pushes the youth away

It sends them far

And they never think home

I don't know whether it's superstition

But when they think of their family home

They cry loud

Oh! People of the Savannah

I share your cries

I feel your pains

But I’ve tried in vain

I know I’m far away

And far from your agonies

But as I’m still in my strengths

I will devote it to our struggle

Our struggle for recognition

Where is the love

Where is the world

Are they deaf?

Can't they hear the painful cries?

And also the predicaments

To my people of the Savannah

Your pains are heard.

I SPEAK OF A TYRANT

I SPEAK OF A TYRANT

I speak of a tyrant

Whose cruelty ebbs not

Whose acts of predicaments recognizes no truce

The joy of the people

Simply call it insipid

Thy faith is lost

I speak of a tyrant

The despicable sapiens

The whisper of pain

Under despotic rule

Say to him no hero

Proclaim to him curses

I speak of a tyrant

Who celebrates his Pyrrhic victory

After decades of killings

Some sayeth he stands a savvier

Me sayeth he perhaps a murderer

He that taunted our souls

I speak of a tyrant

Who death only can topple

A biped beast

A sensible least

Who cares not their need

Just to feast

I SPEAK OF A TYRANT

STILL A BELIEVER

STILL A BELIEVER

My time came to soar

But I began to fall

Slowly

I couldn’t be what I had to be

I was denied been in

Painfully

So I sat to wonder

Why I still suffer

Deeply

I know He God will answer my screams

So I began to believe

Strongly

Though the sermon enters my ears

In my face its still tears

Sorrowfully

I will still be a believer

That He God will make me an achiever

Timely

WHEN I STOPPED FOR DEATH

WHEN I STOPPED FOR DEATH

I was steadfast in purpose

Call it persevere

Many the enemies were

In the peaceful glade were they present

Like a shadow that never leaves the master

I could not find my liberty

It was lost to them

I understand not their usurpation

When am in agony, I never see their contrition

Call them my adversaries

I comprehend not their spirit of avarice

So why I am being pursued

I still walk as the gallant

And they look with consternation

I still fight my liberation where

To escape their manifold ornery

They have conferred on me great perdition

And I have no strength left

I invoke on them the smite of God

I need the world no more

So I stopped for death

THE ARMAGEDDON

THE ARMARGEDDON

The trembling of hearts begin

The winds are yet to rage with anger

I know we only get one chance at life

But many will witness

When thee Christ trips down to smite

He Satan who force himself upon our souls

Who haunted us to the brink of insanity

We wait to see He God fury

The devil redeem not himself coward

So faces almighty without cowardice

To them who reside with him Satan

How will you cross the wide?

For thee province of God you thee far

And that day, repentance saves thee not

Armageddon will see cruelness ceasing

And a cloak of darkness falling

The antichrist wonders

The defeat of thy master’s world

And remembers

The possible truth that has once began

In this fierce battle I watched

A slip of Satan breaketh stones

But a slip of Almighty breaketh mountains

Satan cryth for his slit of throat

But could not tears, for the eyes gushed out of its sockets

Come see the weep and pain of a helpless weak

On his knees he felt

And proclaimed to the world

Thee is CHRIST, thy savior of world

Satan ended at the battle of Armageddon

THE WHITE SERPENT STILL CRAWLS

THE WHITE SERPENT STILL CRAWLS

Break the odd and usher into acceptance

The heart is full of tremulous motives.

The strings ropes can’t allow

Blatant attempts to influence the future

Striving to get out of the web.

Into which we’ve been webbed for centuries

Still suffering from the paralysis of treachery

Masters they were and still they are

Not gold Coast alone but Africa intoto.

They are now in modern malevolence

The system of servitude is now latent

So black race beware.

Far the serpent still crawls to near

ONCE UPON A TIME

ONCE UPON A TIME

Once upon a time

It started just in a day

In a beautiful village

She met a stranger on the way

On the way to pray

What a gentleman, hmm don’t be swayed

Excuse me lady, can I know your name

I’m called Titane

Can I get a place to stay?

Just how much you can pay

This is a nice place to lay

Thank you, you’re beautiful I must say

By the way, I’m called Mr. Jay

Can I meet you latter in the day?

Thirty minutes just after eight

Exactly the time she was at the place

They talked as if they’ve known each other for decades

Their friendship moved on a faster pace

Intimacy grew at a faster rate

Love was the common aim

Which they promised to maintain

I came hear to educate

On what? If I may

On nothing but AIDS

But instead, I met a nice face

As if that is why I came

A little liquor and she was dazed

She was taken home out of grace

The next day she gave him nothing but praise

For it will have been a big shame

I want to be with you, for heavens sake

I know this is strange

She said, you cannot be blamed

Latter ,we saw them in marriage

And they lived happily ever after
