I HEAR THEM SAYING

I hear them saying
That my life smells of success
Saying my genius is becoming madness
That my future might be hopeless
And I might be goalless
Bit I look up and say God, quarantine me not in sadness

I hear them saying
That he never agrees
And if I become a leader, I will rule with decrees
That my family will enjoy nothing but spending sprees
And I'll live my servants in shrieks
But I may need these lies to escape such deeds

I hear them saying
That I am a pervert
All I do to people’s relationship is to subvert
That I'm always wishing to covert
I'm far from that so I won't be perturbed
But don't forget, I'm not perfect

I hear them saying
After the fruit, he keeps the seed
I'm not myopic. I look beyond my feet
And my disposition creates me free
In future they shall quest my feast
But there was no quest when I was on the street

I hear them saying
He falls not on ground
And even if he falls, it makes no sound
Yes I pick up pieces not to cry loud
To help create a world where happiness abound
But they say I'm the foolish man with a crown

I hear the saying
That I delight in sin
And he who follows me falls in a ditch
That I'm so bad that I cannot be stitched
But as I sit down to think
I ask myself, are they not guilty of the same thing?

I hear them saying
That I have a good demeanor
That when it comes to my religion, I am believer
That I strive to be an achiever
And I tell them my falling doesn't make me a looser
It only makes me stronger

I hear the saying
That I am stupid and foolish
That my writings make them frown in anguish
That my style is fetish
That I wrote a poem titled, 'evil visits' and that makes me devilish
But I write to expose and also be stylish
