When the village is sad
Stories are told by the fire side

When there is no rain
The counsel of the gods are sought

When calamity befalls them
The gods are appeased

When there is hunger
Lands are cleared

When war approaches
Peace is chased

The thought of posterity
Marriage is embraced

The quest for expansion
People are killed

The day of festivity
Culture is displayed

The collapse of a marriage
A baby boy is denied

When the masculine emerges
Merry is witnessed

The sight of the white man
Authority is given

The rule of him
Where is emancipation?
