WHEN THE WORLD TURNED BLACK

After many years of getting accustomed to the world
The world knows nothing yet
There were days of illumination
Out of ignorance, we saw little
These were the days of love and mercy
When peace was admired by all
And the world so colorful
Suddenly the world turned black
Full of hatred and treachery
Wailing and misery
Sickness and diseases
As deadly as AIDS and measles
The strong survives
The weak falls
What a world!
I wait for the day the world goes alight
